11-year-old Matilda Chelagat has been a patient at the Yashoda Hospital in India for one month.She had travelled to the country to seek treatment for her condition, aplastic anaemia, but found herself stranded in the country after her parents were unable to raise funds to settle the hospital bill.

Nigerian students in India seek relief package

The All Nigerian Students and Community Association in India has asked the Nigerian Government to provide palliatives for them, saying the ongoing global lockdown occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic caught them unawares.

President of the All Nigerian Students and Community Association in India, Mr Solomon Itere, in a statement on Friday, also urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to extend the palliatives to all Nigerians irrespective of tribe or religion.
