Trapped in Thai airport: social media ‘rescues’ three Nigerians

It started with a post on Twitter by a journalist, Richard Barrow. He tweeted some Nigerians had been trapped at a Thai airport. Unable to enter the country or to return home. He posted the episode on May 17.

It read in part: “Apparently there are some Nigerians who have been trapped at Suvarnabhumi airport for the last two months just like in the movie The Terminal. They cannot enter Thailand and they cannot go home.

Group of South Africans stranded in Peru with no chance of repatriation in sight

A young South African woman is living her worst nightmare while being stuck in a foreign country without money, a permanent place to live, and no hope of repatriation.  Lauren Kroutz, 20, is one of a group of five South Africans who are stranded in Lima, Peru, after they were transported by the local embassy from other parts of the country to the city where they were told they would charter a flight back home.

Fresh hope for stranded South Africans in Myanmar

The Department of International Relations and Co-operation (Dirco) has been working to bring home many South Africans stuck in foreign countries, but due to borders being closed some in Myanmar are yet to be assisted.

COVID-19: African Immigrants and Matters Arising

I woke up this morning, with shocking news. In Verona Italy 100 out of 140 immigrants tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus. The story is the same in Milan and other cities around Italy. This occurrence begs for the question, is it possible God made African so bad that we just can’t figure out what is right or wrong. Obey simple orders; most importantly we don’t want to help ourselves.
